Do you do custom tubs?
Yes, we do custom design & build, reach out if you’re interested in an estimate.
Where do you ship?
Can I keep my cold tub outside?
Yes! If you want to use it outdoors, please order the outdoor model with the all-seasons cover which protects the equipment and finish. For colder regions, we add additional insulation to protect the equipment. Ideally, the cold tub (or the mechanical section which can be ordered as separated from the vessel/basin) will be kept under a covered porch or awning to protect the tub from the elements. If you live in a cold climate and keep the tub outdoors, you will absolutely need to use our specially-designed all-seasons cover to prevent damage to the tub until the outdoor temp is consistently above freezing (0°C/32°F).
How do I fill and drain my cold tub?
It’s easier than you think! All you need to do is run a standard hose from a faucet to the tub to fill it up. To drain, just attach a hose to the tub’s accessible hose bib (think tap) and run it to a drain in your home or outside.
How cold will the water in my cold tub get?
Our tubs will get down to approximately 2°C (36°F). If you prefer your dip slightly warmer, you do have the option to set your preferred temperature as well. Most other cold tubs on the market will only reach temperatures as low as 5°C (41°F).
Important note: High ambient air temperatures will affect the performance of the tub. More information is in the specification sheets, or you can always book a call with our plunge team to discuss any concerns.
How do I keep the water in my cold tub clean?
How long does it take for my cold tub to actually get cold?
What are the power requirements for my cold immersion tub?
Do I need to unplug my tub before I use it?
Short answer: No! In fact, it’s better to keep it running 24/7 to keep the sanitized water circulating (and cold).
Longer answer: Our tubs are CSA SPE-1000-13 Field Evaluated Certified and engineered for safety. The tub’s GFCI protection ensures that you are safe from electrical shock (the GFCI is the same protection that is found in kitchens and bathrooms to prevent electrical injury in places that might get wet).
What’s the temperature of my cold therapy tub?
The digital thermostat indicates the temperature of the water as to what you set it at, although there may be a slight discrepancy between the sensor and the actual water temperature. For an exact measurement, we recommend using a digital thermometer.
What will my warranty cover?
We offer a three-year warranty. The warranty includes a replacement of parts that are shown to have defects in workmanship.
Do I need to maintain my cold tub?
Minimal maintenance and water changes are required. The UV light is required to be changed every 18 months. The skimmer filter change will be based on use of tub. Typically, once every 4-6 months is sufficient. We provide an owner’s manual with each tub complete with maintenance instructions.
I need to modify/renovate my space to accommodate a tub. Can you recommend anyone?
It’s possible we can make a connection within our network of clients’ contracting teams for your specific project location. Email us at sales@iceworksbathco.ca for more information.
